Sunshine is the best shine.

hello you lovely lot! Today I wanted to share a bit of Summer inspiration and have a little chin wag, if that's alright with you? ;) Basically this past year I've been in this horrible nasty on going slog of silly little things called GCSEs. (which I am sure you are all aware of, if you aren't they are end of secondary school exams, ergh right!) Anyways with that being said I'm back, I've found my mojo and want to spend this Summer writing and pressing publish on blog posts. Therefore, right now as a little teaser (just kidding, I have a guilty pleasure with Pintrest * and you NEED this app in your life) I shall share a few of my ideas and inspiration for the coming months, hope you enjoy!

If you really want to get creative with your cookie cutter creations, use letters to spell your guests' names out of melon or watermelon to use as drink markers and place holders.:
Let your hair down this summer and enjoy time outdoors. It's the prefect way to spend time with friends and get fit while having fun.:

How to de~stress? (Back to Work)

Being a part of society as it lies today, we will all have gone/are going through our own stresses, some bigger than others and some smaller. Today I wanted to share a few things we can do to reduce our burdens and appreciate our lives rather than wish it all away!

Tip No.1 ~

Firstly remember you are never as alone as you may think. It can be as small as texting family/friend and asking if they want to meet up, or you could go on a walk and say hello to people you pass - humans need human contact so no matter what you decide to do. Spending time with people you love and trust to share your burdens can really help!

Tip No.2 ~

I would also recommend reduce your use of social media for a day or even a week just limit it down to an hour a day - trust me you will notice just how much time you have for work, social activities and happiness! Please don't take what I say to the extreme as this can have the opposite effect - social media is now an embedded part of our lives so by not being included we are essentially out on a limb. So find your personal balance and stick to your decision. Focus on you!

Tip No.3 ~

Read, knit, crochet, sew, watch T.V, play a board game, go on a run, go for a swim, climb a mountain. Do something/ Plan something to look forward to that will benefit you for the better. For example if you are passionate about kickboxing or football call up a friend and go and have fun ~ you are more likely to remember the fun you had trying out something new than the times you spent stressing out about something that won't matter in 24 hours!

My last but in my opinion the most important one is to inhale some oxygen and let it all out and put your head down and do the work you have to do  - the quicker it's done the freer you become

Product of the Month ~ No.1

Hey everyone, so today I'm going to start a new series called 'Product of the Month' and will be able to share with you one product each month that has changed my life, just a little fraction more than any others have. So do tell me whether or not you like these posts and also if you have a favourite product of the month. I'd love to find out what you have been loving and can't wait to try some new products out!

Are you ready? (let's get cracking)

So my product of this month has to be: ...Nuxe Reve de Miel Lip Balm...

... firstly it's so tasty (I have to force myself not to lick it all off because it smells and tastes AMAZING!) but it is also really refreshing and mega moisturising. I know this lip balm used to be talked about all the time yet here I am, once again late on the bandwagon, but anyways who cares right? I love using this product in the summer but especially love using it in winter because it is so calming and nourishing especially if you suffer from dry lips (which I definitely do in both seasons from going hot to cold, cold to hot). I would really recommend this if you have sensitive lips because it is honey based which is a fabulous thing as honey is widely known to heal and soothe due to its antibacterial properties. The lip balm contains special plant oils (for example Calendulofficinalis also known as English marigold) and contains zero nasties - which is a big bonus these days! The price is therefore on the higher side for a simple lip product but I don't think that's a bad thing as it ticks all of my boxes.

Hope you all are well, and that this helped you even a tiny amount! I have missed writing blog posts but this year has been beyond cRaZy! I hope all of you who are now on summer are having a smashing time :)

'No Ordinary Cupcakes' The Rainbow Cupcake...

Hey lovelies so today I baked some different cakes and wanted to show you how to make them...they are rainbow cupcakes. Can life get any better? I don't think so :) enjoy!

Ingredients (makes 12):
125g unsalted butter
125g self raising flour
125g caster sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
3 tbsp. milk
4 bottles food colouring (red, green, blue and yellow)
12 cupcakes cases

Method...
First preheat the oven to 200 degrees
Mix together the sugar and butter until pale and fluffy.
Beat the eggs in one at a time adding a little flour in each time until the ingredients are mixed.
Add the vanilla essence and mix. Then add the milk 1 tablespoon at a time mixing after each addition.

Divide the mixture into 6 bowls:
In Bowl 1 - Add half a cap of red colouring
In Bowl 2 - Add half a cap of red and half a cap of yellow
In Bowl 3 - Add half a cap of yellow
In Bowl 4 - Add half a cap of green
In Bowl 5 - Add half a cap of blue
In Bowl 6 - Add half a cap of blue and half a cap of red
Mix colouring into each mixture after adding.
Divide the purple mixture between the 12 cases. Repeat with the others, so you would divide the blue mixture in to the 12 cupcake cases and then the green and then the yellow and so on.
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes.

This is what they should look like...
And if you wanted to add butter icing see this blog post, and I just crushed some chocolate coasted sweets and sprinkled them on top of the cakes.
Let me know if you like these cupcake posts?
P.s Sorry it took so long for me to post again
