Christmas Dipped Strawberries

Hello everyone, I can't believe it's Christmas tomorrow, where has December gone! Before you know it, it will be 2014. That's crazy! So, I've been doing a lot of baking today and wanted to show you how to make these easy Festive dipped strawberries. You can make these right now if you want to, they would make a lovely treat for your family...

You will need:
White Chocolate Buttons
Green Sprinkles
Strawberries (of course)
a Tray
Glass bowl
Saucepan
a few bowls

Instructions:
First, wash the strawberries
Then fill the saucepan with water and place the glass bowl on top, don't use too much water though, just enough to surround the bottom of the bowl.
Next, 'eye' how much white chocolate you want to melt. Stir until smooth.
After, dip the strawberries into the white chocolate then in to the green sprinkles.
Lastly place on a tray and put in the fridge until hard.
I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas!

DIY Mini Stocking Tree Decoration

Hey guys, today I'm going to show you how to create this really sweet Christmas stocking:

You will need...
Red felt
White cotton material
Embellishments (ribbons, buttons, felt, lace)
Material scissors
A sewing machine or a needle and some thread
Template of a stocking
Instructions

1.    Start by cutting the two stocking pieces out of red felt and the two stocking pieces of white cotton. Here is the template I used

2.    Then choose what design you would like to put on to your stocking, I chose some lace, a bit of red ribbon and a few buttons.

3.    Sew your design on to a piece of red felt

4.    Next place your designed stocking piece face up on top of the two white pieces of cotton and the back of the stocking at the bottom (it will look a bit like a sandwich).

Then sew half a cm around the edge of the stocking with sewing machine or use a needle and
thread.
At the top of the stocking only sew one piece of felt with one piece of white fabric like so..
5.    Then attach either so string or a little bit of ribbon so you can hang it on the Christmas tree.

6.    Remember you can adjust the sizes of the stockings if you fancy!

Let me know if you made this decoration?

5 Tips for a Stress Free Christmas

Is the idea of Christmas stressing you out?...well, here are a few tips to help you have a stress free time:

1. Think ahead

Know how many days you have left and plan different tasks to do each day, so that it's not a last minute panic.
2. Ask people what they want
Don't waste hours thinking of what to buy people, it's easier just to ask!
3. Shopping Online
Shopping from home avoids the crazy Christmas crowds and can save money at the same time.
4. Don't look for perfection
Nothing ever will be perfect so just relax and enjoy the Christmas spirit.
5. Make it fun
You can have so much fun making your own tree decorations, baking and watching Christmas movies.

This is what our Christmas Tree looks like this year

Lots of love

Easy Decorations for Gingerbread

Oh hey there, I hope you're enjoying Blogmas so far! The other day I baked some gingerbread and decided to finish them off today by decorating them in three easy and fast ways.

You will need:
Gingerbread (homemade or bought)

To make a small batch of icing you will need:
1 large egg white
230g of icing sugar
1tsp lemon juice
food colouring (various)
Suggested decorations:
Smarties, chocolate drops and sprinkles

Biscuit Frosting
1. Beat together the egg white, the lemon juice and the icing sugar until the frosting is stiff (like meringue).
2. Then place the icing into a zip lock bag and push the mixture to one corner. Snip a very small triangle off the bag.
3. Next pipe a border around the outside edges of the biscuit.
4. Let it dry

Here are the three designs:
